Our visiting times are flexible and are based on individual patients’ preferences.
There is a quiet rest period for patients each day between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm. Please try to avoid visiting during this period.
Please note that there may also be times when patients are too tired, or too unwell, to receive visitors.
For security and fire safety purposes we require visitors to sign the visitors’ book when they arrive and when they leave.
Children are important members of the family and are welcome to visit when accompanied by a responsible adult. We have some facilities for children, but they must be supervised at all times.
Patients’ pets may also visit by arrangement; please discuss this with the patient and their nurse beforehand.
In certain circumstances it may be possible to arrange overnight stays for members of the family.
If you have any questions, please call us on 0131 470 2201 or send an email by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
As the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh never makes any charge to patients or relatives, we depend on the generosity of the people of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Click here for more details of funding and fundraising.
Thank you for visiting.
