About day services

Day care is provided for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses who are living in their own homes.

Day care is available in our hospice. Day care works with each individual patient to maintain best possible quality of life at this stage of their illness in a relaxed and friendly environment.

All patients attending day care have a key member of staff who looks after their ongoing needs including symptom control, emotional and spiritual needs.

Services available include medical care from a specialist doctor and nurse; physiotherapy; occupational therapy; social support and counselling; complementary therapies; and chaplaincy.

Patients are referred to our day care services by their GP, District Nurse or other healthcare professional.

Our services run from 10:30am to 3:30pm.
